You have read the following post on an internet forum called Teen Aid:
When I have to go somewhere and meet someone new, I am always scared to death. I even tend to forget my own name…Well, that’s an overstatement, but I definitely concentrate on saying my own name instead of listening to the person introducing himself or herself. Then I am in big trouble, because I can’t remember it, and I have to ask again, which is very embarrassing. And of course, telling my name is only the first part introducing myself, I also should be talking about myself. But I just don’t know what to say. Why would anybody be interested in what I have to say about myself? I’m 17, and I haven’t really achieved anything special. How do you guys do it? What do you say when you have to write a motivational letter to convince a university to take your application? Can somebody help me introduce myself efficiently?
Thanks in advance.
Susan
